Type: Simulator / Trainer / Issues Bank
concerned Cycles: Cycle 4, second
Base Area: 4
Targeted skills :
Probability: Understand and use elementary probability;
Data processing: Read as raw data of the data table, graph.
Description: Probability is a companion app for teaching probability in college and second. It is composed of three parts: Simulate; practice ; reflect
I. SIMULATION:
This part simulates many experiences, so as to introduce the concept of probability based on statistical frequencies.
content:
- dice Throws: (6 faces: 1,2,3 or 4 dice - faces 8: 1 or 2 Dice - 12 faces: one or two dice, dice Sicherman)
It is possible to simulate 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 or 100,000 successive throws.
The throws can be accumulated.
The data is displayed in a table
A chart is created in real time.
- Shots parts (1, 2 or 3 parts, faked or not)
It is possible to simulate 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 or 100,000 successive throws.
The throws can be cumulés.R
The data is displayed in a table.
A chart is created in real time.
- prints in a box (up to 4 colors balls)
It is possible to simulate 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 or 100,000 successive throws.
The throws can be accumulated.
The data is displayed in a table.
A chart is created in real time.
- lottery wheel (up to 5 colors sectors, number of configurable sectors)
It is possible to simulate 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 or 100,000 successive throws.
The throws can be accumulated.
The data is displayed in a table.
A chart is created in real time.
- Throws a bug:
It is possible to simulate 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 or 100,000 successive throws.
The throws can be accumulated.
The data is displayed in a table.
A chart is created in real time.
- Card Draws:
It is possible to simulate 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 or 100,000 successive throws.
The throws can be accumulated.
The data is displayed in a table.
II. PRACTICE :
Exerciser part of the application, this is to train on the notions into classes.
content:
- Experiments to test: (series of 10 random questions, written exercise)
The questions are generated from 10 situations:
* Algorithm with Scratch
* Geometry
* Table double entry
* Frequency Table
* Draw from an urn (probability calculation)
* Print from an urn (calculating the number of balls)
* Lottery Wheel
* Letters Panel
* Draw a card
* Bar chart
- Experience in two events: (4 issues available, no year noted)
* Successive Shots of a part
* The Funfair
* Customer service
* Dress in Black
III. REFLECT :
This part includes a bank of six problems involving probabilities. Each time, the problem is stated, it is possible to play a game, then simulate a large number of party. Then load the students to find the exact value of the desired probability ...
content:
* Paradox of the Grand Duke of Tuscany
* Monty Hall Problem
* Free-tile game
* Monte Carlo method
* Moving a beetle on the edges of a cube
* Signes maps Game
