Here is an application that would have helped us when we were looking for names for children!
Baby has not arrived yet that we already do a lot of work :-D Preparation of the room, looking for Nanny, stock diapers, bodies ... but we must find him a name too!
The doubt begins, many ideas without ever being really persuaded: Will it please everyone? It's not too original? It sticks with the last name? ...
Here are the kinds of questions we asked ourselves when looking for names.
On the net, forums, dictionaries in alphabetical order, top names by year ... But nothing that offers a selection of first names everyday (neither too old nor too atypical) in a neutral way.
It is after all this that I offer you this very simple application: A suite of proposed names => you accept or refuse.
Where does the first name list come from?
- It is a selection of the most given names in France in the last 10 years. In order to avoid having too much and to have redundancy, spelling variations and given names are removed. It's more than 1000 names to give you ideas.
What are the features of this application?
- Proposals are made randomly: no alphabetical order or order of popularity
- The proposals are on the same footing: a popular name will not be put forward more than a more ordinary names
- Filter on proposals: Starts with, Ends with, Contains, ...
- Contextualization of the first name: See at a glance if the first name sounds with your last name and if the initials pass
- Share your selection by the means you like (sms, Messenger, Facebook, ...)
And finally, no advertising \ o /
This application was made on my free time without the desire to make money.
My only remuneration will be a small comment, stars and see an email if it allowed you to find a name ;-)
