The Regional Council of Medicine of the State of Rio de Janeiro (CREMERJ) is a federal agency, created by Law No. 3,268 / 1957, with the aim of promoting the perfect ethical performance and morale of medicine and the prestige of the exercise legally.
Thus, the CREMERJ is responsible for enabling the physician to do their work and monitor compliance with the relevant legislation to their profession. It is the only body empowered to issue medical professional card, in addition to guide, discipline and ethically judge the doctors.
