The book is considered one of the most important books of the Shafi’is, and it is extremely concise. It is one of the books approved for teaching by them, and a standard for teaching in many Islamic schools and institutes. This explanation is a comprehensive one among scholars, easy and convenient for beginners, a reminder for those who have finished it, and approved by later scholars, in all schools of jurisprudence, schools, institutes, and mosque circles.
It combines ease, brevity, and familiarity with many matters, and is suitable for the student, reader, and teacher.
Quote from the author's introduction to the book
“This is a very brief and refined book. I have placed it in the book called “Al-Taqreeb” so that the needy who are beginners in the branches of Sharia and religion may benefit from it, and so that it may be a means of my salvation on the Day of Judgment, and a benefit to His Muslim servants. He is the Hearer of the supplications of His servants, and He is near and responsive, and whoever seeks Him will not be disappointed. {And when My servants ask you about Me, for I am near. I answer the call of the supplicant when he calls upon me.” [Al-Baqarah: 186].”

Fath al-Qarib al-Mujib fi Sharh al-Fadha al-Taqreeb, also called the chosen saying, by Imam Shams al-Din Abi Abdullah Muhammad bin Qasim bin Muhammad al-Gharabili al-Shafi’i al-Ghazi (859-918 AH), in which he explained the text of al-Ghaya wa al-Taqreeb by Abu Shuja al-Isfahani.
