Austin is a city in the United States of America, the capital of the State of Texas. It is located between the counties of Travis (of which it is the capital), Hays and Williamson. Austin is located on the Colorado River of Texas, with three man-made lakes within the urban circle: Lady Bird Lake (until 2007 it was called Town Lake), Austin Lake and Walter E. Long Lake. Mansfield Dam and part of Lake Travis are located in the town. Different parts of Austin are illuminated by the "artificial moon", the Moonlight tower.
