T-Driver · Description
We recognize that your vehicle is your place of work and that you spend a lot of time on the road. By being a safer driver you are creating a better work environment for yourself by reducing your work-related stress. You are also creating a safer and more comfortable experience for others around you. Safer drivers have less accidents and cause less wear and tear to their vehicles. There is a direct link between an improved driving style and reduced fuel usage.
Once you’ve completed a trip and logged off, in a vehicle which has a Traffilog unit installed, we will give you feedback on your driving style and calculate your trip score. Elements that are included in this score can be acceleration, cornering and breaking events on each journey that you have completed, depending on your company policy. Our algorithm works out the length of the trip and the number of events and their severity, then makes an overall calculation for your trip.
Please note: The data available in the driver app may differ slightly from the Traffilog application or the DMAS feedback, this is due to way that we have designed the driver app, to give you instant feedback. If you are in doubt, please log on to the application for more details.
The focus of our driver app is for you to see your own development and create your own goals and challenges to improve your own performance over time.
If your trend is to a low score over time, this shows that you are a low risk driver. Higher scores as an overall trend show you are a high-risk driver. We understand that each journey you take poses unique challenges and that you may need to take evasive action which could result in a breaking or cornering event. Please do not be concerned with individual events, but concentrate on your overall driving performance development over time.
Note: “The functionality of this app requires, that the vehicle you are driving is equipped with a Traffilog unit, and will only display trips where you have been signed into the vehicle.”
Optimum accuracy
Some things do affect GPS accuracy and we will not use data we deem to be unreliable. The data available in your app will depend on the accuracy of the GPS data, the data that is communicated to the Traffilog unit from the engine and that you have identified yourself as the driver on a particular trip.
