Spirit TEA is a mobile application that supports the development of social, communication and emotion recognition skills of people with Grade 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD 1); It was developed by the Software Factory of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) with the contribution of the knowledge of four experts on this topic of the TEA Planet Foundation and the UANL School of Psychology .
The application has 28 activities and 245 exercises divided into 5 areas: Self-Esteem, Social Skills, Literality and Sarcasm, Communication and Recognition of Emotions. Each section has different activities that people with ASD 1 can do to learn and test themselves.
It also has a Journal of emotions section that allows the user to register their emotional state every day, and a section of results and advances where the user and / or the therapist can see their progress.
It is educational, interactive, inclusive, fun, easy to use and free; includes audios recorded by children with Grade 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD 1).
It is expected that the use of this application will contribute to favor the inclusion of people with ASD 1.
It is important to mention that this application is not intended to replace psychological therapy, but that it can serve as an auxiliary tool.
