The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports issued a press release on January 16, 2025, announcing the official implementation of the PLP (PLP EdTech).
The Ministry of Education stated that the PLP (PLP EdTech) was developed to support learning and teaching, ongoing professional development, and student learning monitoring and has the following features:
* Students use the PLP to implement learning activities and test questions in Khmer, mathematics, science, and other subjects to develop deeper critical thinking skills.
* Teachers can track students’ learning activities and outcomes to plan teaching according to students’ abilities.
* Primary teachers and technical staff can use the PLP for ongoing professional development through online self-study to earn credits.
* National technical officers and researchers can assess student learning outcomes based on the national assessment test (grades 3 and 6) and the regional SEA-PLM (grade 5).
* Parents, guardians, communities, and national and international partner organisations can monitor learning and provide timely student support based on daily, weekly, or monthly learning data and results.
