Radio Nostalgie Guinée FM · Description
On August 14, 2006 at 5:50 p.m., the first private radio station, NOSTALGIE GUINEE 98.2 FM, began broadcasting in the Republic of Guinea and made history by breaking a taboo maintained for more than ten years.
The launch of this radio was a real obstacle course made particularly difficult by the prejudices maintained on both sides and the authorities' fear of seeing these mainstream media help the population to participate in a public debate that they did not want frankly not.
Radio NOSTALGIE GUINEE is the property of the company CANAL SAGUI which was created the day after the publication of the presidential decree dated August 20, 2005 liberalizing the airwaves in the Republic of Guinea.
The application file was submitted as soon as the Application Orders and the Specifications were published by the Ministry of Information. The agreement of the CNC was not long in coming. It intervened in February 2006 and we had to wait more than five months for the agreement of the Ministry of Information which we obtained when the new Minister, Aboubacar SYLLA, was appointed at the beginning of June 2006. Once installed, he took over the Orders which were awaiting the signature of the previous Minister, who did not dare sign them, and signed our Authorization Order on July 11, 2006. The Order was delivered to us during a ceremony organized in the radio station in Koloma on Monday July 17, 2006.
It was only on Monday August 14, 2006, in the morning, in the great hall of the National Council of Communication, that we finally received our frequency, 98.2 FM. That same day, in the afternoon, we started broadcasting at 5:50 p.m., thus becoming the first private radio station in Guinea.
Since its launch, NOSTALGIE GUINEA has been broadcasting 24 hours a day. 24, 7 days a week.
Today NOSTALGIE GUINEE produces 52 programs every week. They are broadcast 24 hours a day, every day. These programs are broadcast between 6 times and once a week with different themes each time. All these programs are produced and produced exclusively by young Guineans in Conakry.
Today, 27 private radio stations broadcast in Conakry and 16 in the interior of the country. 4 private television stations broadcast in Conakry. They have commercial or community status.
Private radio and television stations have created more than 1,000 jobs for young people in 7 years. They arouse a lot of enthusiasm with the public and have contributed to the awareness of young people for their future and of public authority for their youth.
These undeniable achievements are a major step forward for the development of this country.
Radio NOSTALGIE GUINEA has as its primary objective the development of culture in our country, whether musical, theatrical, cinematographic, plastic, scriptural and others. We have the development of his youth at heart. It is in this direction that we have been working since the launch of the radio.
There are tens of thousands of listeners every day who listen to NOSTALGIE GUINEE radio around the world thanks to our website and numerous radio applications on the web such as TuneIn.com, clover.fm, pepper.fm, etc... as well as our application for android.
