Practica is intended to be a flexible toolbox to help with whatever you're practicing or exploring. There are lots of ways to use the included features—here are some possibilities and ideas:
• generate endless unique and varied practice patterns to develop all-around finger independence and dexterity
• learn scales and box patterns by focusing on specific fret ranges with the Guitar Guide, with optional left-handed and reversed string display modes
• use the call-and-response looper to practice copying what you hear, or improvise "replies" to another part
• work on focused ear-training by using specific notes or intervals, and the Circle Guide to visualize the distance between notes
• practice creating harmonized lines, countermelodies, and chordal accompaniments for different melodies
• use the switchable tempos to build up speed and accuracy—drop to a lower tempo to learn a part before moving back to full speed, or play at double speed in longer and longer bursts to develop stamina
• get ideas for lead parts or basslines: pick a scale, or some specific chord tones you want to focus on, choose an octave range and see what inspires you
• set the Guide to automatically turn off for new melodies, and customize its display. You can use this setup to test yourself by hiding information, and only reveal the "answer" when you tap the Guide. Test your note recognition or challenge yourself to quickly find melodies on your instrument
• save your favorite melodies and Guide setups, and build your own collection of exercises, challenges and musical ideas
Regular focused practice helps you develop fundamental skills, build familiarity with music and your instrument, and gain confidence to express yourself! Check out Practica, and see how it can help you make the best use of your practice time.
