Unifev's trajectory began in 1966, when it was initially created, as a public body, with the name Faculty of Sciences and Letters of Votuporanga (Facle), which at the time offered only three undergraduate courses: Sciences, Letters and Pedagogy.

Four years later, in 1970, the then Facle ceased to belong to the public authorities and began to be maintained by a private, non-profit foundation: the Votuporanga Educational Foundation (FEV). The change brought, in 1973, two new courses to the Institution: Accounting Sciences and Administration, when the Faculty of Accounting and Administrative Sciences of Votuporanga (Facica) was also founded.

Facle and Facica lived together until 1991, when they both created Faculdades Integradas de Votuporanga (FIV).

Given the increase in the supply of Higher Education in various areas of knowledge, in 1997 the IVF was renamed Unifev.

Today, with a focus on the educational future and constant market transformations, Centro Universitário Votuporanga offers more than 50 different undergraduate and postgraduate courses, hundreds of in-person and online extension activities, in addition to several other services provided free of charge. , the community.
