SUPPORTED CONTROL INPUTS:
TOUCH - Using our ‘Precise’ mode, tap on the screen and the vehicle will follow the last place touched. Or, by using the button in the top left corner to use ‘Classic’ mode, tap once on the button in the centre at the bottom of the screen to drive forwards. Tap on it again to brake and stop the vehicle and it will automatically start turning on the spot. When it is facing the direction that you want to drive, click on it again to drive forwards. No drags or swipes are required.
MOUSE CURSOR - Using ‘Precise’ mode, the vehicle will follow your mouse cursor position onscreen (no dragging holding down click is required). Or, by using the button in the top left corner to use ‘Classic’ mode, left click on the button in the centre at the bottom of the screen to drive forwards. Click on it again to brake and stop the vehicle and it will automatically start turning on the spot. When it is facing the direction that you want to drive, click on it again to drive forwards. A single left click is used to select the onscreen buttons. The Auto-Click option in Android is also compatible with selecting these. No drags or holds of clicks are required.
SWITCH ACCESS -To scan through the onscreen targets using a switch, the use of the Google Switch Access app and a compatible switch interface or device is required. To drive forwards, scan to and then select the onscreen control button in the centre at the bottom of the screen to stop the vehicle and it will then start automatically turning on the spot. Select the control button again to drive in the direction you are facing.
KEYBOARD - In ‘Precise’ mode, the Arrow keys or W,A,S,D are used to steer, accelerate, brake and reverse. The R key is used to reset the vehicle when you are stuck. Space can be used to stop the vehicle without reversing. The Esc key opens the pause menu.
Alternative keyboard controls can be access using the button in the top left of the screen for ‘Classic’ mode. In this mode, to steer, you navigate to the button in the centre at the bottom of the screen using the arrow keys and press the Enter key to stop the vehicle and it will then start turning automatically on the spot. Press Enter again whilst the control button is highlighted to drive in the direction you are facing. In the menus, the arrow keys are used to navigate between onscreen targets and the Enter key is used to select one, when highlighted.
GAME CONTROLLER - Using an Android compatible controller, in ‘Precise’ mode, the Left Stick is used to steer the vehicle and navigate the menus. Button 1 (e.g. A button on Xbox controller) is used to accelerate and to select menu buttons. Button 2 (e.g. B button on Xbox controller) brakes/reverses the vehicle. Button 3 (e.g. X button on an Xbox controller) is used to reset the vehicle if you get stuck. Button 8 (the Menu button on Xbox controller) is used to open the in-game pause menu.
Alternative controls using a game controller can be access using the button in the top left of the screen for ‘Classic’ mode. In this mode, to steer, navigate to the onscreen the button in the centre at the bottom of the screen using the Left Stick and, when highlighted, press Button 1 (e.g. A button on Xbox controller) to stop the vehicle and it will then start turning automatically on the spot. Press it again to drive forwards in the direction you are facing.
