"WNat" is a connected tool available free of charge from the "wnat.fr" community.
It allows to collect and share field observations, photographs.
Thus, the application "WNat" and the site "https://www.wnat.fr" constitute a homogeneous set of tools for collecting and sharing, for knowledge management purposes, on the theme of the biodiversity of territories, mainland France and overseas territories.
The "WNat" application allows an on / off field capture, geo referenced, saving valuable time for the observer and the immediacy of the transmission is a service to the conservation of territories and to all those who contribute to its management or his knowledge.
The collected data, covering many classes of plants or animals (birds, mammals, insects, reptiles ...), are added to those already present in https://www.wnat.fr and can be transmitted in a standardized to the Information System on Nature and Landscapes, led by the National Museum of Natural History.
Contributors can use one or the other of the tools or accumulate the uses because they are interconnected from one and the same account (login + unique password).
