Vivifrail App is aimed at monitors, physical trainers, professionals in the field of health, medical and non-medical staff of nursing homes, as well as professionals in the field of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Nursing and Physiotherapy in charge of the care of over 70 years.
This App allows seniors to be classified, based on the conclusions made within the framework of the Erasmus + project called Vivifrail (www.vivifrail.com), based on their risk of loss of functional capacity, dependence and risk of falls. Once the elder has been categorized, the App proposes the realization of an individualized multi-component physical training program for the prevention of frailty and falls in people over 70 years old (© Mikel Izquierdo. The multi-component physical training program is based on a series of exercises that will allow, depending on the level of functional capacity of the elderly (severe limitation, moderate limitation and slight limitation), and will allow to develop:
• Strength and power, both arms and legs.
• Balance and gait, in order to avoid falls.
• Flexibility.
• Resistance through cardiovascular exercises.
Following these simple programs, an elderly person can improve functional capacity, as well as avoid fragility syndrome and risk of falls.
This App allows:
- Work with several elders.
- Screening of fragility and risk of falls.
- Monitoring of multi-component exercise program.
- Perform the exercises correctly thanks to its complete and simple explanations, as well as the videos that accompany each exercise. "
