Frequently asked questions
What auctions are held on the BOE Portal?
Judicial auctions, notarial auctions and administrative auctions are carried out.
What is the Asset Recovery and Management Office (ORGA)?
It is a body of the General Administration of the State and auxiliary to the Administration of Justice which, among other functions, is responsible for the sale of goods, effects, profits and instruments from criminal activities committed within the framework of a criminal organization, as well as the rest of the criminal activities typical of the scope of extended confiscation, when this has been judicially agreed upon.
How do I place a bid?
To place a bid, the user must enter the official page of the BOE using their credentials (electronic certificate or identifier and password).
You will locate the auction you want to bid on and go to the "Bids" tab. If the auction has multiple separate award lots, you will select the lot. If the user has already made the corresponding deposit (or is exempt from making a deposit), the system will offer the possibility of bidding. If not, it will tell you that you have to make a deposit.
If the Auction Management Authority has NOT established the amount of the minimum bid and the ranges allowed for the values of the bid, the system will allow you to bid for any value. Otherwise, the system will offer you a dropdown with the first 100 possible bids. If the bidder wishes to make a higher bid than the proposals in the dropdown, he must select the "Next Range" button to obtain the amounts of the next 100 possible bids in the dropdown.
At the time of sending the bid, as an additional security measure, the BOE Portal will send an SMS or an email to the bidder with a code to verify the bid.
In addition, if the bidder is making his first bid in an auction, the system will ask him to indicate whether he is acting on his behalf, in community property or on behalf of third parties and if he wishes to reserve his best bid until the final award occurs or No.
In the event of acting under the community property regime or on behalf of third parties, the user will have to provide the documentation that proves it in case of being the winner of the auction.
The Portal of the B.O.E. will admit bids for an amount equal to or less than the highest already made for the purpose of reserving them for the case of failure to consign the rest of the acquisition price by the winner. These bids can only be made with bid reservation.
For each bid made and confirmed, the bidder will receive by mail a document that proves his bid. Confirmed bids cannot be withdrawn.
At all times, the bidder will be able to check the amount of their maximum bid and the maximum bid for the auction.
Judicial auctions are those carried out by the Courts, under the responsibility of the Lawyer of the Administration of Justice, who will be the Managing Authority of the auction.
