Relevant is a content curation and discussion app, like a forum — but with a reputation system and a built-in currency.
Relevant, doesn't rank content according to clicks, instead, trusted community members decide which posts have the most value.
Relevant Communities
Each community on Relevant is like a subreddit. You can start discussion threads by posting links or text, and rank content using upvotes and downvotes.
Reputation
Each user has a Reputation score. You earn reputation when reputable users upvote your comments. Content is ranked based on user Reputation. The higher your Reputation score, the more say you have over what shows up in the community feed.
The goal of this system is to give curation power to a few experts instead of a mass of passive consumers.
Reputation scores are specific to a community and cannot be transferred.
Tokens
You can earn tokens by upvoting posts. You have 3 days to upvote a post after it goes live. If that post is upvoted by high-Reputation users, you will earn some tokens. You don’t earn tokens from posting content, only from upvoting. Upvoting is sort of like a prediction about what posts will be deemed valuable by reputable members of a community. Tokens represent ownership in Relevant (imagine if the first Facebook users got some facebook shares!).
You can also earn tokens for inviting friends.
