MindLogger is a mobile platform that can deliver a broad array of activities for presenting, collecting, and managing information. Examples of MindLogger activities include customizable surveys, quizzes, diaries, inventory and interview checklists, as well as assessments of mood, cognitive performance, and surroundings. New activities to support citizen science, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and even therapeutic interventions are currently in development.
MindLogger features allow for a variety of user responses and can even provide reminders for daily or more frequent interactions. Features include scheduled notifications, check boxes, slider bars, text entry, drawing, camera, microphone, GPS button, special game-like tasks, and much, much more.
MindLogger can be used internationally and has the capacity to be translated into other languages with relative ease. It will soon be available in French and Spanish. MindLogger is linked to a developing and curated library of assessments, resources, and practical guides in multiple languages.
MindLogger is designed by the MATTER Lab at the Child Mind Institute (matter.childmind.org). MindLogger development has been supported by the Child Mind Institute, in collaboration with the Learning Planet Institute in Paris, the Hearst Foundations, the NIMH, MIT, ETH Library Lab, and Blanca and Sunil Hirani. Special-themed applets created by the Child Mind Institute, and by our partners at the Learning Planet Institute and the Citizen Science Center Zurich, are distinguished by their institute's icons and colors within MindLogger.
