The Junt@s CNT application seeks to prevent violence against women, providing them with information and functionalities that help both the victims, the environment and the aggressors to break this circle and ask for help.
Its main functionality is the sending of text messages (SMS) to Emergency Contacts previously registered in the emergency contacts option so that users, when they require help from their contacts, send the SMS with their location so that they can provide support. For this, permissions are requested from the user for: access to the telephone book, to register emergency contacts; access to the user's location to send the SMS with the location; and sending the text message both notifying the contact that it was added by the SMS sender and for the help message.
It is worth mentioning that the National Telecommunications Corporation, as the issuer of the application, does not store the SMS sent or the registered emergency contacts, nor the telephone calls made, this is executed directly on the user's device.
Likewise, it has other informational features such as: About Junt@s, what can I do? that contains suggestions for women, men, and friends or relatives so that they know how to act in situations of violence against women, likewise, there is the option Search for Support that contains numbers of shelters and comprehensive protection services that will provide support to the victims.
On the other hand, within the menu there is Testimonials where there is the Testimony of a woman victim of gender violence that transmits a positive message of overcoming and finally there is a Violence Test that has 3 types of tests so that people can identify if they suffer from violence, are violent or are in emotionally dependent relationships, so that they request help.
