The Old Testament contains 39 books. The New Testament contains 27 books. The Roman Catholic Bible contains 23 apocryphaes, including 46 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament. The Greek and Russian Orthodox monasteries also accepted other Bible texts.
The Bible was translated into Burmese by Greek and Hebrew missionary Adonian Judson. It is the only Bible in use today.
