NABU Vogelwelt Vögel Bestimmen APP

With the NABU "Vogelwelt" app, you can learn about and identify all the bird species regularly found in Germany. NABU-Vogelwelt is the free app for bird lovers and anyone else who cares about protecting our natural diversity.

The fully functional, free basic version of the new NABU-Vogelwelt app replaces the previous NABU-Vogelwelt app, but includes 80 additional bird species and a host of new features. Each species has its own identification chart. These are the app's special highlight, as they consist of cut-out photos that are almost indistinguishable from the best bird drawings, yet reveal much more detail. The charts show the typical plumage of each species, with the most important characteristics labeled directly on the charts. Distribution maps for all 315 bird species, as well as a search and updated identification function, are already included in the free basic version.

You can use the app to create observation lists and export them for your own use or to participate in the NABU (Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union) campaigns "Winter Bird Hour" and "Garden Bird Hour." These nationwide reporting campaigns, held in early January and mid-May, are aimed at all nature lovers. By participating, you will help record trends in species populations and initiate necessary conservation measures.

The basic version of the app can be expanded through subscriptions. Thanks to the proceeds from these expansions, the app and its basic functions can be offered free of charge. A further portion of the proceeds from in-app purchases goes towards NABU's work to protect nature, especially native birdlife.
