Plaudernetz is an innovative conversation platform for one-off conversations that connects people easily and low-threshold via a phone call. It offers a flexible, cross-generational and location-independent opportunity for social interaction.
The chat network is about chatting with each other simply and easily. It is not an advice or crisis hotline.
Plaudernetz can be a help in moments of loneliness: Just call and chat – anonymously, free of charge and throughout Germany.
Available daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on 0800 – 330 1111.
Callers dial this number and are connected to a chat partner. An app for callers is not available.
Plaudernetz is an offer from the Malteser Hilfedienst in cooperation with Deutsche Telekom.
How do I get involved?
For chat partners, the chat network offers a new opportunity for social engagement - independent of location and flexible in terms of time. If you enjoy exchanging ideas with people, are at least 18 years old and like to talk on the phone every now and then or regularly, you have come to the right place as a chat partner. With Chat Network you can answer calls whenever it suits you – be it from the comfort of the couch or relaxing on the balcony. You decide how much time you make available.
Who is the app intended for?
The app was developed for registered chat partners. If you are not yet registered, you can simply do so in the app.
What are the app's functionalities?
- Indicate availability: With “ON” you can answer calls immediately. Set to OFF when you don't have time to chat.
- Call list: In the app you can find out how many calls you have accepted and how long you have spent your time on the chat network.
- Contact the Plaudernetz team: We look forward to all your feedback - be it if a conversation was particularly nice or, of course, if something didn't go the way you imagined. You can also contact us with questions about technology, the app and other topics.
- Information about chatting rules and conversation tips
- View profile: You can view and edit your specified telephone number and email address in the app. You can also log out of Chat Network there.
