The aim of the app is to provide Pediamécum users a system of rapid consultation Pediamécum chips, anywhere and in any condition, for professional use and to enhance patient information or their caregivers.
Pediamécum is a document database of active ingredients commonly used in pediatrics, created and maintained by the Committee for Medicinal Products for the Spanish Association of Pediatrics in collaboration with more than 350 professionals from different specialties.
The information available in sheets Pediamécum is reviewed and updated periodically and is based on the literature cited in the pdf version. The content of the chips included in this application coincides with that of those published on our website (www.pediamecum.es).
When you install the application, download a database of approximately 10 MB on your device. That is, you have all the essential information without connecting to the network. However, since the periodic update may include security notes, you receive a warning when you are offline. This notice, by definition, can not be disabled. If connected, to start the application will automatically check for updates.
Pediamécum not access their identifying information or content on your device except that the application itself creates, as the pdf you decide to download and of course the drug database files. The application itself has access to the connection status of your device to manage updates.
Pediamécum warns non-professional users that it is inappropriate to use this application to self-medicate without a prescription or to leave a prescribed treatment.
Note: When downloading the database to first use, the application requires a 3G access with average level of coverage. Wi-Fi is recommended that a minimum of 1.5 Mbps, so it may be insufficient public network.
