This tool is made from the National Early Warning Score table. Response / action card is based on the guidelines for the ambulance service in Oslo University Hospital HF, and the Patient Safety Program. Remember that your business may have different guidelines.
NB A low score does not exclude serious illness. NEWS is a complementary aid to assessing vital functions in adult patients and must always be used in conjunction with the healthcare professional's expertise and clinical judgment.
