A lollipop is a confectionery made of hard candies, usually mounted on a stick intended for sucking or licking. Different informal names call them in other places, including Lollipops, are produced and presented to the market in many flavors and shapes.

It contains a range of colors and flavors, especially fruit flavors, in lollipops. Lollipops can range from tiny candies purchased in bulk and given as a courtesy at banks, barbers and elsewhere, to huge treats made from spirally twisted candy canes.

Some lollipops contain flavorings such as chewing gum or soft candy. Some newer lollipops have more unusual designs, such as mealworm larvae embedded in sugar. Other novelty lollipops have inedible centers like a flashing light placed inside the candy. There are also types of lollipops, mainly in North America, made of sticks attached to a motorized device that causes the candy to spin in one's mouth. In the Nordic countries, Germany and the Netherlands, some lollipops are flavored with unique flavorings.

Lollipops can be used to carry exceptional tastes. Some lollipops are designed and manufactured to be used as a dietary supplement, although their effectiveness has not been tested. Flavored lollipops containing medicine are designed for children to take their medication without any problem.
