The Identity Management System (IDMS) will be the main repository to store and verify all user credentials of the Ministry of Education Malaysia (KPM) including staff from other Ministries / Agencies / Private Institutions, students, parents, guardians, educators, institutional operators and people public Each user credential will be tagged with a user role that is used to determine module accessibility in the system. This component is the core driver for Single Sign-On (SSO) which will basically enable all systems to authenticate users to IDMS externally to avoid duplication of user credentials in each system.
