The Community Police Forum / CPF APP, powered by Safe Community, allows you to get connected, stay updated and be the eyes and the ears of your local community.This amazing technology has been made available for free to assist ordinary members of the public, Community Police Forum's (CPF's), the South African Police Services (SAPS), Neighbourhood Watches (NHW's), Community Watches, Security Companies and personnel, Alarm and Armed Response Companies and personnel, Community Structures, Organisations, Role Players and others to collectively and effectively communicate to combat and prevent crimes and other issues affecting our communities whilst enabling everyone to be more aware and vigilant.

The app assists in keeping you updated on incidents reported in your area and neighbouring areas if you wish. You and your community play an equal and active role in assisting crime fighting role players regarding your own safety. When you or another community member experiences or witnesses a crime, suspicious activity or hot spots you are able to report this anonymously via your CPF app, this will then notify all participating app users such as local community members, ordinary members of the public, Community Police Forum's (CPF's), the South African Police Services (SAPS), Neighbourhood Watches (NHW's), Community Watches, Security Companies and personnel, Alarm and Armed Response Companies and personnel, other participating role players who have the app.

Enabling all app users to be informed, improving a combined and collective response or approach towards reports. Each report has a built-in chat feature which enables everyone to be kept updated at the same time on responses, additional information, progress and outcomes related to the report and chats related to the incident. Reported incidents are not official and do not replace your usual method of contacting SAPS for assistance and opening a case, etc.

Reports are GPS location based, and the app has map overviews, accompanied by easy to use direct drive to map and voice guided navigation.

One of the features enjoyed by users are the customisable area notification settings and tones which have been designed to assist and prevent users being bombarded by unnecessary chit chat and irrelevant information. The App allows you to choose your preferred areas to receive reports from and customise your notification tones. It also has a report inappropriate content function, allowing users to report other users that abuse the system or who make inappropriate comments which could lead to them being banned from the app, alleviating some of the issues that group admins previously had. The app also allows an unlimited number of community members from a specific area or suburb to download the app, another benefit is you can also be notified about reports in neighbouring areas/suburbs which allows active community members such as CPF members, Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) members, Community Watch members to all work together effectively, communicate effectively and combat crime in their local areas/suburbs more efficiently.
