The app 112 Belgium is the official app for the Belgian emergency services. Once you are registered in the app, you can make an emergency call with the app for ambulance, fire department or police assistance. If you use the app, the emergency centres automatically get an indication of your location and who you are. This information is normally transmitted over internet, however, when no internet connection is available, SMS is used to transmit this information to the emergency services (the SMS destination used for this, is free of charge).
