Vision
Welcome to the Bible Reading (Drama Bible) APP! Reading the Bible returns the church today to the tradition of believers to read the Bible together and listen to God’s words. Believers’ common reading is the foundation of the lives of God’s people in the Old Testament and the New Testament, reminding believers to remember God’s deeds and their identity as God’s people. This practice can be seen everywhere in the Bible, including the reading of the law in the time of Moses, the reformation of King Josiah, and the restoration of the people of Israel by Ezra.
In the time of Jesus, a very important part of Jewish life was the reading of the law and prophets aloud in the synagogue. The early Christians also maintained this tradition, reading the letters of the apostle Paul aloud when they met. The apostle Paul himself attached great importance to the reading of the Bible. He taught everyone in 1 Timothy 4:13: "You must read, exhort, and teach until I come."
Now, you can read the Bible together with your group. As God's people, God's words are the bread of our lives. Reading and listening to the Bible together often makes loving God's words as simple as loving food. May you grow up in God’s Word and equip yourself with the Bible to become God’s workers! Thank you for joining, let us read the Bible together!
Party suggestions
When you are ready to start your own Bible reading group, it is best to prepare a paper Bible for the participants to read.
Please discuss with your co-workers and choose a 20-minute, 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute reading plan. It only takes 100 hours to listen to the complete Bible.
The content of each reading: Two psalms as the beginning and end of prayer, a passage from the Old Testament, and a passage from the New Testament. If you use the 45-minute and 60-minute Bible reading plans, you can read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice in two and a half years.
We suggest a pause between reading the Bible so that everyone can repeat what they have heard in prayer. There are places where you can pause in each unit.
Each unit has a movie of the Bible project, which you can play selectively. The film provides background introduction, such as the narrative structure, themes and history, which are lively and interesting, easy to understand, and can help the congregation to deepen their understanding of the scriptures.
At the end of the meeting, thank you for coming and encourage continued participation. You can optionally join the discussion session. The most important thing is to listen to God's words together.
