IndicAI Sign is a free App that enables real-time translation of English sentences to Indian Sign Language using our 3D interpreter nicknamed ‘Bunty’. The App could be used at:
School: to supplement teaching of ISL to hearing-impaired as well as hearing students
Home: to facilitate communication between hearing-impaired individuals and their family members
Workplace: to facilitate communication between customers and hearing-impaired individuals working at front-desk jobs at Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels etc.
The App is presently in public beta stage, with limited features and vocabulary. We would appreciate your feedback on how we can improve the App further especially in terms of translation quality and vocabulary coverage. Please reach out to us at contact@indic-ai.org
Internet connection is not needed for animation of single words. However, internet connection is needed for translation of sentences. Out-of-dictionary words would be finger-spelled. Please let us know the words you would like to be included in the vocabulary in future, as we improve our dictionary coverage.
