Transient

Transient provides a platform to post jobs and to apply for the jobs. Job providers like businesses, NGOs or any private person can post minijobs, part-time jobs or any small household tasks. Job seeker can apply for these jobs in the app and after confirmation, seeker can start the job.

How does Transient work?
1. Job provider posts the job in the app. Job can be a paid jobs or volunteer jobs.
2. Job seekers can search the job in the app. App shows the jobs in the neighbourhood by default. Jobs can be searched based on city and dates.
3. Seeker can call the job provider for more information and then apply for the job.
4. Provider gets notified and provider can have a discussion with the seeker and then confirm the job.
5. Seeker can use the map to find the route to the location.

Signing up:
Sign up will happen in 2 phases:
1. Initial sign up with email and password, which creates and account in the back end.
2. Adding details, in which the user has to define whether the user is provider and seeker and other contact details.
IMPORTANT: Valid phone number and address needs to be provided so that the job seeker or applier can contact with these contact details.

Posting a job:
Job provider can easily post jobs within a couple of minutes. As soon the provider signs up and provides the details, he/she lands on the homescreen. Provider can add a job by clicking "Add a job" button and it will route to the job posting screen. Provider can choose the type of job and fill the information. Once the details are provided, click "Post" button, the job will be posted and seeker can view the job.

Applying for the job:
Job seeker can search for the job in the app. By default, the "Job Search" screen will show the jobs in the neighbourhood, if the app is allowed to access the location of the mobile, else it will display the latest jobs. Seeker can search the jobs in any city and given dates in the app. Seeker can call the job provider for clarification and then apply for the job.

Job confirmation:
Job provider can call the job seeker and then later decide whether the select or reject the seeker. Provider can navigate to the seeker details and select the seeker. Shortlisted seeker will be added to the “Shortlisted” list.

Rejecting a seeker:
Provider can reject the seeker in the candidate details window and the candidate will be removed from the “Shortlisted” list.

Seeker withdrawing the application:
In an unforeseen circumstance, if the seeker has to withdraw the application, the seeker can press the “Cancel” button in the job and the provider will be notified. Seeker cannot apply for the same job again.

Route to job location:
Using the map view in the app, the seeker can find the route to the job location. During job search, app shows the job near the seeker location.

Charges:
All volunteer jobs are free of charge in Transient app.
All seeker can use the app free of charge.
Posting a job is always free. It will be charged only when the job is confirmed.
