Ice Age Worlds · Description
Explore the climate, plants and animals of the Ice Age 40,000 years ago in Europe alongside your trusty animal companion. There is much to discover:
Exciting stories from the Ice Age - Face the dangers of the Ice Age in "The Monster" and prove yourself as a hunter. Slip into the role of a human from the stone age in "Save the Day" and "Youth Trial" and find out about art and music in this period.
Of hunters and gatherers - Gather food and raw materials and use them to create tools such as a hand axe, a spear, or an antler mallet. Hunt wild horses, bison and other animals to feed your group. But be careful: Hunting hyenas, mammoths and cave lions can be really dangerous.
-
"Ice Age Worlds" was developed in collaboration with students ages 8-12. It is part of a joint project between the Neanderthal Museum, the Prehistoric Museum Blaubeuren and the Vogelherd site. The idea for the project and a possible further development arose within the Ice Age Europe Network of Heritage Sites. The concept for the game and its implementation in its current form came from Playing History in Berlin. The project was made possible by the support of KULTUR.GEMEINSCHAFTEN within the framework of the funding program NEUSTART KULTUR from the Kulturstiftung der Länder.
