Heart of the Nation

The Heart of the Nation app includes the location of AEDs that are registered with our network. That means, they are knowingly added to our app, and are more likely to be working when needed.

Another benefit of the Heart of the Nation app is that the locations of our AED network are marked with a prominent visual sticker on site to avoid delays when you are trying to find the AED.

The app has new features being designed that will be released shortly that will allow you to:

* Call 000 for help in the event of a cardiac arrest;
* Call for help from nearby responders who also have the app;
* Provide directions for responders to the nearest AED;
* Log the maintenance of your AEDs within the app.

The Heart of the Nation app is a truly NATIONAL app, with accessibility to AED locations in all States and Territories. The network includes almost 2,000 locations, and is growing weekly.

Heart of the Nation cannot guarantee the good working order of any of our members' AEDs, but does encourage best practice with regard to maintenance and ensuring accessibility and operability.

Further, Heart of the Nation cannot guarantee that an AED location will be exact, precise or where the app states that it will be, as this information is provided to us by third parties, but we do use best endeavours to ensure that the information provided in the app is accurate.
