Gottcha · Description
Introduction
Gottcha is a mobile game that allows players to enjoy a real-life hide-and-seek experience using GPS technology. It combines technology with outdoor activity, making it a fun way to exercise and spend time with friends.
Beta
Please note that Gottcha is currently in its Beta phase, so there may be bugs. We are constantly adding new features to make the game even more enjoyable. Join our Discord to provide feedback or report bugs—we appreciate your help in creating the best game in the world.
How to Play
The game features two roles: searchers and hiders. The hiders’ goal is to remain hidden from the searchers while staying within the designated play area. The searchers’ goal is to locate the hiders in real life using the app and tag all of them within the game’s time limit.
When a searcher finds a hider, they tag them using the app by clicking "Gottcha." If the hider is within a 20-meter radius of the searcher, they are eliminated from the game, ensuring that the searcher cannot cheat.
Player Limit
The game supports up to 20 players, with a maximum of 2 searchers and 18 hiders.
Game Modes
There are two different game modes:
Shrink
The game area shrinks progressively, requiring hiders to remain active and constantly on the move. The game area shrinks every 5 minutes, and hiders must stay within it to avoid elimination.
Normal
The game area remains the same throughout the entire game.
Game Area
The game creator determines the size of the play area by pressing "-" or "+" to adjust the size before starting the game.
Game Duration
You can choose from six game durations: 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, 50 minutes, and 60 minutes.
Additional Functionality
Ping Interval
This determines how often the hiders' locations are shown to the searchers. You can set this interval between 1 and 10 minutes.
Final Game-Zone Size
This defines the size of the game area at the end (in Shrink mode). There are three options: small, medium, and large.
