What can you do with the FluoroVu?
Here is a short list of the many applications:
Laboratory, Research and Industrial - Many organic and inorganic compounds and substances exhibit UV fluorescence. Applications include coatings analysis, checking cleanliness of work area, epoxy analysis and quality control.
Education - Fluorescence Demonstration and Analysis. Use the FluoroVu as a fun and easy hands-on teaching aid.
Counterfeit verification - check altered/fake documents, counterfeit currency and other official IDs. The FluoroVu might not always be able to verify that something is real, especially if the counterfeiting measures are fine and complex. However it can certainly tell you that certain key characteristics are missing and therefore a fake.
Art - Paintings, carvings and various objects. Use to the FluoroVu to see hidden fixes.
Mineralogy - rocks and gemstone. Different rock and gemstones fluoresce in intricate and beautiful patterns. Use the FluoroVu to get cool images and share with your friends.
Automotive - refrigerant leak detection, locate repaired windshield cracks. The FluoroVu is a convenient tool for field inspection. Fluorescent dyes can be added to refrigerant for detecting leaks of pipes and interconnects. Use the FluoroVu to find and document the location and intensity of the leak.
Identifying personal property - You can mark your personal property with markers or stamps that has UV sensitive "invisible ink". Use the FluoroVu to document your marking. You can later confirm the identity of your recovered item by using the FluoroVu again.
Urine stains of Pets and Pests - Use the FluoroVu to locate rodent and pet urine stains. Are you suspecting rats hanging around at certain areas in your house?
