EUcraft · Description
EUcraft lets you take decisions in the Council of the EU! Step into the shoes of national ministers and experience EU decision-making by negotiating on real topics that matter for you. Agreeing on a common charger for your devices, banning single-use plastics or supporting the transition to electric cars and greener buildings – it’s all in your hands. Play EUcraft – a digital simulation game.
Customise your avatar, choose your country and topic and start your adventure . You will be challenged to put your country’s position forward and negotiate with the other EU countries. The objective is to allow the EU Council to reach an agreement.
Win or lose action points by interacting with the other member states, but choose your actions wisely, as your negotiation powers are limited. You can replenish your points through trivia quizzes and mini-games during breaks between the negotiation rounds.
Gain points and win badges: at the end of the game, you will be scored based on your performance in the negotiation - how far you deviated from your country’s initial position, how willing you were to compromise for the sake of the majority, how many alliances you agreed, and more.
Disclaimer: this is an educational game based on the real negotiation process and real topics. However, the negotiation procedures have been presented in a simplified form and gamified, with the addition of fun elements and a degree of abstraction.
