DiveCalc · Description
DiveCalc is a mobile application designed to facilitate calculations in dive planning for recreational and technical divers.
In addition, you can find detailed information on how and why these calculations are performed, which will allow you to better understand the fundamentals of dive theory and make more informed decisions about your dives.
The following functions are currently available:
- Calculation of the best gas mix based on the depth of the dive. Calculate Nitrox and Trimix blends.
- Gas density calculations. Helps avoid diving with dangerous mixtures and understand the importance of gas density.
- NDL: No decompression limit tables grouped by agencies and gas types.
- MOD: Calculates the maximum operating depth, based on gas and depth.
- SAC: Calculates the air consumption equivalent to surface consumption. Allows you to calculate the amount of gas needed on a dive, taking into account personal consumption.
- END: Calculates the narcotic depth equivalent to diving with air at -30m. Used in technical diving as a way to estimate the narcotic effect of a breathable gas mixture containing helium.
- EAD: Calculates the equivalent depth with air. Allows you to adapt the NDL with Nitrox, using air NDL tables.
- TOD: Calculates the theoretical ocean depth. Used to convert your altitude dives to equivalent ocean dives. Diving is considered high altitude when it exceeds 300m above sea level.
******** DISCLAIMER ********
This product should only be used by certified divers or under the supervision of a certified instructor, as incorrect use can be fatal. Although the application has been tested numerous times, the accuracy of the calculations cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, it is recommended to double-check the calculations with another dive computer or dive tables. Use the product at your own risk.
