The traditional source of reference for the Hebrews is the Bible, the content of which is also found in the Hebrew scriptures of the Torah. According to these sources the Hebrews are the original monotheistic group, which is descended from the posdiluvianos patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
According to the Bible and the Hebrew traditions (oral and written), the Hebrews were originating in Mesopotamia. They were nomads, living in tents, owned herds of goats and sheep, using donkeys, mules and camels as carriers. Following Abraham, the Jews migrated to Canaan, the land promised by God to the descendants of the first patriarch. Several tablets discovered in Mari certify frequent migrations across the Fertile Crescent.
The alefato or Hebrew alphabet, sometimes referred to by its Hebrew alef-Bet2 form (אָלֶף-בֵּית) is the series consisting of the Hebrew consonants. It consists of 22 characters, of which five have a different end of the spelling words. It is used to write Hebrew, Yiddish and, to a lesser extent, judeoespañol.
