My Rose-Hulman APP

The My Rose-Hulman app is intended to provide current faculty, staff and students with quick and easy mobile access to internal news, resources and information at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

With the My Rose-Hulman app, users with active Rose-Hulman credentials only need to authenticate once upon downloading the app. After the initial login process, users will be able to access the platform without being prompted to login continuously – eliminating a previous pain point when accessing My Rose-Hulman in a web browser from a mobile device. This new process significantly improves the user experience, and as such, is one of the app’s greatest benefits. Users can navigate to different resources throughout the app without submitting credentials at each new page. Individuals will now be able to follow links within their email directing them to the platform without repeatedly entering their network credentials. This update will improve campus operations, as many users ignore emails that contain links to My Rose-Hulman due to the complications when accessing.

With full access to the campus newsfeed and event calendar, the My Rose-Hulman app will help individuals on the go stay informed of the latest news and events. Users will also have access to the popular Bulletin Board, including a virtual lost and found, within the app.

Another benefit of the app is that individuals will be able to access important campus resources from the convenience of the app’s home page, and place phone calls to specific contacts with one touch. This feature will help reduce delays in critical and time-sensitive situations. Prior to the app, individuals would need to search to find phone numbers and then navigate outside of the phone’s web browser to dial and complete the call.

The My Rose-Hulman app also places the campus map at users’ fingertips. Rose-Hulman operates on the quarter system, so the location of classes frequently changes, and the map is a common resource. Providing easier access and enabling engagement on the map via zoom functionality will provide the optimal user experience.

Users will also have the ability to share news and events on the platform directly from the app. This function will allow campus constituents with easy access to share updates in real time. Prior to the app, users expressed frustrations with publishing on the platform when using a mobile device.

The app also makes its easy for students, staff and faculty to access resources pertinent to their success at Rose-Hulman, such as course scheduling, grades and timesheets. Commonly used resources are featured prominently throughout the app.

We welcome your feedback as we continue to evaluate ways to improve the My Rose-Hulman experience.
