Overview and Background
In summer, as outdoor activities with dogs increase, so does the chance that parasites like fleas and ticks will latch onto their fur. Ticks in particular can transmit serious infections such as Lyme disease and tick-borne encephalitis, making rapid detection and removal extremely important. However, on white or light-colored coats parasites can be hard to spot, and on dark coats they often blend into the background, making identification difficult. To address this, we needed an app that makes parasites immediately visible with just a simple photo!

App Introduction
The “Dog Tick Camera” applies a negative filter to the smartphone camera by default, inverting the color of your dog’s fur and sharply outlining any parasites. There are no complex settings — you see the filter effect as soon as you launch the app — and the intuitive UI/UX is designed to capture and save images quickly, even if your dog makes small movements.
