With the version of BLIDSmobile specially developed for mobile devices, you always have the ALDIS/BLIDS (Austrian Lightning Detection and Information System) thunderstorm map for Germany with you. The latest version gives you an overview of the past few hours as well as an active thunderstorm warning. On the interactive map, you can keep an eye on current thunderstorm activity, automatically zoom in on your current location using geolocation, and use the thunderstorm warning feature to receive push notifications when thunderstorm activity occurs in a selected area. You will receive a thunderstorm warning for a selectable area (approx. 40 x 40 km) via push notification directly on your smartphone or, via a connected smartwatch, directly on your wrist! If you are alerted by the app, check the current development of the situation by closely observing the direction of the thunderstorms over Germany in the past few hours. You can play back the thunderstorms over the past three and a half hours in animation by tapping the play button in the top left corner of the timeline. If you are outdoors and currently see thunderstorms in your area, immediately seek shelter, as lightning can travel many kilometers horizontally before reaching the ground ("lightning out of the blue").
