About this app:
BIHAN is an app for all the officials/extension workers of the Department of Agriculture, Government of Bihar. It is a one-stop-solution to digitally collect, collate and analyze all the crucial information pertaining to crops and crop related activities that helps the Government in taking informed- decisions and more targeted policies. The application is made available in both English and Hindi languages. For few modules, the data is obtained from DBT, Agriculture Department, Bihar.
Features include:
o Real-time information on key crop related data entries
o Data entry in the application can be made in online mode, and in offline mode.
o Gamification for increased engagement of users.
o Roll based access.
o Data collection at 8500+ panchayats by extension workers followed by review and approval by block and district level officials.
o Additional automated approval workflow as a failsafe mechanism at block and district level.
o First and comprehensive application to assess crop coverage of all crops.
o Crop target and crop damage to be reported directly from farms.
o Crop coverage areas to be assessed at panchayat level.
