Biblioquête · Description
Biblioquest is a free augmented reality application that makes children want to read. The youth writer Timothée de Fombelle takes them on an unprecedented adventure, in search of the books that marked his childhood. Her imaginary world unfolds through the tablet: a forest begins to grow in the living room, the characters of her favorite books come out of the pages and come to life.
To progress, children must explore the library decor that has built up around them, find the clues that lead to each book, and read a passage aloud.
Intended for 8-12 year olds, and playable on a large number of phones and tablets, the application offers:
an immersive journey of 20 to 25 minutes: children are led from book to book by the writer, they discover major references in French literature in an original and fun way through augmented reality;
a rich graphic universe: the magnificent 3D sculptures by youth illustrator Olivier Tallec are displayed all around the children. A landscape is revealed with each book;
easy handling: scan a floor area of 1.50m wherever you are to deploy the experience and the adventure can begin!
simple interactions: interactions are simple and intuitive: children find clues with the tablet and trigger animations. They read passages from books aloud to reveal the characters in the books. They collect 4 books before the final reveal.
adapted educational content: through the writer's story, children discover classics of French literature. At the end of the adventure, they want to know more and delve into the books
Biblioquête is an application written and produced by Andrès Jarach and Gordon, put into sound by Franck Weber, illustrated by Olivier Tallec and narrated by Timothée de Fombelle. It is co-produced by France Télévisions, Red Corner and Small Studio, with the support of the CNC and the City of Paris.
