For this, we make the mass balance basically using the Mass Conservation Expression (A.a=C.c+E.e) and to simulate several stages we usually use Microsoft Excel.
With that in mind, I developed the POCKET BALANCE.
Android application, which based on the sampled contents and known masses is capable of:
✅ Calculate Mass Recovery;
✅ Calculate Metallurgical Recovery;
✅ Enrichment;
✅ Calculate Missing Content;
✅ Calculate 2 Missing Masses by Known, Estimated Mass Recovery or Mass Recovery by Content;
✅ Mass Recovery by Content;
✅ Calculate S.G. by Iron Content;
✅ Simulate several stages of Concentration, ROUGHER, CLEANER, RECLEANER, scavenger;
✅ Simulate known masses and grades and select them as a circulating load in Food, pondering;
✅ Simulate more than 1 Concentrate already weighted;
✅ Simulate After launching all Internships the Global Efficiency of Unit Operations, including correcting and weighing Circulating Loads;
✅ Everything is recorded and saved in the app, and can be easily searched by name.
✅ If you simply want to only weight Grades, you can just add them by clicking on the checkboxes sending this data to Feed, Concentrate or Waste that will be weighted.
✅ It is also possible to define the % of Solids and Flow by the density of the pulp and Density of Solids having the Food Mass;
All of this is also possible with Excel and a little knowledge of Ore Treatment or Expensive Simulators, but now it is possible to do it on your cell phone and close a balance sheet with samples in 10 minutes or less;
* It is necessary like any simulator, a basic training, but much simpler than doing in Excel even.
** Application developed for Iron Ore, however the Mass Conservation Expression is General, only the Flow Rate, % of Solids and SG depend on the Mineral of interest.
