Artwalks allows you to send a personalized postcard from your smartphone to your friends so you can share the places that you visit. It’s easy, fun, and free!
A guided tour and a fun game all-in-one!
Artwalks guides your discovery of new places through a game that allows you to create and share a digital postcard by choosing different images and captions that you earn as you follow the itinerary. All of the content was especially created by contemporary artists: what could be better than being guided by their perspective as you explore?
A hardcopy map will show you the itinerary to follow, marking the interest points where you’ll stop along the way and be able to access the content.

At the moment, Artwalks is available in the following cities:
- Ancona (pick up your map at: IAT - Banchina N. Sauro 50)
- Matelica (pick up your map at: Ufficio IAT Pro Matelica c/o Comune - Piazza Enrico Mattei 3)
- Fermo (pick up your map at: Museum Ticket Booth c/o Palazzo dei Priori - Piazza del Popolo 2)
- Ascoli Piceno (pick up your map at: Ufficio Turistico - Piazza Arringo 7 )
- Bolzano (pick up your map at: APT Via Alto Adige 60, Bolzano)
- Rome (during the TDV Festival)
- Milan (during the design week)

Instructions:
Enter the itinerary you want, choose the first point of interest that you want to reach, and use the pointer to be sure that you’re going in the right direction;
Once you get there, choose the front of your postcard by picking one of the images provided by Artwalks artists;
Now go to the second point of interest and choose one of the texts available for that itinerary: this will be your caption!
Then, at the third stop, snap a photo or take a selfie and use it to stamp your postcard;
Now it’s time to share your postcard on your favorite social network or you can save it on your device.

Turn on your GPS and have fun, with no worries: once you’ve entered the name of the itinerary you’ve chosen, you can use the app even offline.
Warning: you can use the pointer to orient yourself as you go along, or you can keep your smartphone in your pocket, but remember to take it out once you reach each stop, so you can access the content!
