Aborto Seguro Ipas Mx · Description
Aborto Seguro Mx is a clinical and technical support application for health professionals (general medicine, obstetrics, nursing and midwifery) with information on safe and legal abortion applicable in the Mexican territory. Access to it, as well as the consultation and download of all the included materials, is completely free.
The application has 4 main modules: 1) Regulatory framework of legal abortion in Mexico, 2) Recommended technologies to perform safe abortion procedures, 3) Post-abortion contraceptive methods and 4) Social stigma around abortion. Each of the main modules has an informative, audiovisual and interactive part to strengthen the explanation of processes and procedures and a digital self-assessment that allows the knowledge acquired to be tested.
Through a complementary module it is possible to access a map with the location and simple ways to reach the clinics that are part of the Legal Interruption of Pregnancy program in Mexico City, where any woman in Mexican territory can access a procedure elective abortion, safely, free and legal, as well as national statistical information on sexual and reproductive health in our country.

The objective of Ipas Mexico when developing this application is to provide health professionals and abortion service providers with free, friendly, interactive digital tools and instruments, easy to use and consult, to facilitate the provision of health services and reduce the barriers that women face when they need to access a safe abortion procedure, from a comprehensive perspective, with a human rights and gender perspective based on the legal, clinical and social components.
