The Office for Hunting and Fishing Graubünden offers a mobile application for recording fishing events and catches.
The app supports the fishermen with the registration and offers easier handling. The susceptibility to errors should be reduced. It also offers an immediate evaluation of personal fishing events.
Similar to the current statistics booklet, the following parameters are recorded:
- Date and duration of the activity
- Fished water
- Caught species of fish
- size of the fish
- reason for the release of fish
- empty catches
Empty catches as well as the date and duration of the activity are automatically recorded using a so-called start / stop function. This function will make it possible to calculate the CPUE (catch per unit effort) in more detail and thus more meaningfully in the future. As additional options, fishermen can specify the size of the fish and the bait used. The personal fishing activities are shown in individual fishing statistics (e.g. number of fish, fished waters or success rate etc.).
