Bréviaire · 説明
Our app intends to be the most complex app in the Google Play Store with Catholic Breviary offering the user as many options as possible. The Breviary is a book in which is the Liturgy of the Hours (hymns, psalms, prayers, short biblical texts). It is made up of 5 offices:
1) Lauds (in the morning).
2) The midday service (morning after lauds or noon or 3 p.m.).
3) Vespers (in the evening between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.).
4) Compline (the evening before bedtime).
5) The office of readings or 'lectio divina' (at the best time of the day).
Our app gives you from the start a text version of the Breviary Liturgy of the Hours with the holy bible Old Testament and New Testament with a Psalms section. We have a very special section with the Saint of the Day where you can read everything about the Saint from that day on.
The second section gives you an audio breviary of the present tense. You can listen today to the breviary or from any data in audio format.
The third part called Divinum Officium contains a Liturgy of the Hours in many languages like English, Italian, Latin, Spanish and many other languages. This is a text version of the Catholic Breviary with all the canonical hours: matins, lauds, prime, tierce, sext, none, vespers, compline.
The fourth section is in English with daily readings from the holy bible. In the Listen to Offices section, you can listen to the Catholic Breviary in French for free.
We have many live Catholic news sections where you can read everything important to Catholics. Examples: Catholic News Agency, Crux News, Catholic Education Center, and Dr. Taylor Marshall podcasts.
This free Android application is updated for the year 2022 and can be downloaded for free. Usually works best online with some offline sections.
